Last presentation...

How great you are guys...

Congratulations for the SBI '09.. We have passed the microteaching class very well. I do hope the result will satisfying us.

Four presenters were great. They did their presentation by using different media. First presenter was Briyan. He used power point presentation on his teaching. It would be better if he could be more interactive to the students and combine his teaching learning with the different method (not just direct learning).

The second was Julius. I saw him good enough. He should increase his voice volume, because sometimes i didn't hear his explanation.

The third presenter was Yanadi. I have tried to join on the game, but unfortunately I didn't win. Hmm.Never mind! it's not the point. I like his method. He used to create game and good story on the beginning of teaching and learning process. 

Ryan was the last teacher. He seemed like the real teacher. He wore batik and name card on his shirt. I can catch the material well. He was creative enough on choosing the video. It'll be easy understood for the sixth grader.

Overall. We must say alhamdulillaah. Because everyone has done very amazing job. I really expect in the real elementary school, we can applied and develop our teaching skill. We can also contribute something for better education.

God bless us..Hmm, I forget something. Thanks for the lecture for being good facilitator and instructor in this semester.

twenty ninth March presentation

Alhamdulillaah. Thanks Lord, I got a chance to see my friends' teaching practice.

They were great. Everyone has prepared the presentation well. I just want to give some suggestions. Bring our own board marker! It looks like very simple, but it's so important for both the teacher and student to write every important thing on the white board. Be attractive and interactive with the students.

Ratna Palupi made a good strategy on her teaching. She invited us to sing together about the force. We also acted as the lyric said. It was exciting. 

Maryanne was also good on her teaching practice. I liked her aperception (showing the video made by herself). I didn't know what we will learn about. She was succeed to raise my curiosity.

Frasben was the last presenter. He was good enough. I really want to suggest him to speak clearly and loudly. And be careful with the language..

My D-day..

Hi friends..Today Yessy, E.Aprilia, and I did the presentation.

I thank YOU , Allah for giving me uncountable prizes including passing my turn well. Alhamdulillaah. Next week I really can enjoy friend's presentation without thinking about my turn. .hehehe

I was little nervous before I taught in front of the class. But, when I did it the feeling was changing. I enjoyed my teaching because everyone supported me. I really thank to you all guys.

As usual, I got new lesson day by day by joining micro teaching class. Actually we need not only material preparation but also mental preparation. Why? Because we're communicate with other people when teaching. I found one of problems today was teacher less interactive with the student.

About my game, it could be better if I create for the low level . I saw it was bit difficult for the university student, so how about applying it for the elementary school student??I should think twice to choose kind of game. But, I thank to all of my friend because you are supportive person.  You had a willing to play this game.

 Special for the presenters today, I congratulate for you..We all did good job.

I expect we can apply best method in the classroom to teach the students.
I know, we can't be perfect, but I have tried my best to do the presentation. I still need suggestion from you, so please leave your comment here..

15th March presentation

Thanks Allah cause we still have time to study together in microteaching class.Alhamdulillaah..

 

what should I write here?

I got not only lessons from the last microteaching class but also some rewards. Hmm yummy chocolate..

I like the strategy of all the presenter. They gave chocolate and biscuit as the reward for the student who could answer teacher's question.

I just remembering you, we may give rewards but don't be too much. Students only want to do teacher's command if they will get reward. I suggest not to use kind of food only, but also symbol of star or big applause for the reward.

From the previous presentation, I could see they used whiteboard maximally. It's good ! ^^ 

Then, I suggest for us just be careful with the language. I heard the term or word which has been spoken by them sometimes was not appropriate with the context of sentence.

Okay guys, I really do hope we can support each other to develop and improve our teaching skill through this microteaching class.Fight yeahh !! :)

Assalamu'alaikum..Oo my friends..I was very excited for having class together with all of you..

Hmm.what should I write here??I just wanna say congratulation for Teo, Betty, and Suci for your amazing presentation on the last 8th March.

I believe everyone had prepared their own teaching practice. I could see one of you did almost perfect on the last teaching practice. Theo, how many thumbs I can give to you?you were great. I just hope on the real school, you will be so attractive like you were on the microteaching class. Betty and Suci were so good. I got more lessons from your presentation. Sometimes, our lesson plan must be different with the student's condition in the classroom. You have prepared attractive action in front of the class, but your students didn't give you any response. It's so difficult for the teacher. Hmm difficult???No, we are be able to be a professional teacher who can manage the classroom very well. Am I sure? Yeah, Sure..We all can do !!

By these practice we can correct ourselves into better.

Individual Teaching Practive (My absence microteaching class =( )

Assalamu'alaikum..

Thanks Lord, only because of You I can still post on this blog..

Dearest my lecture and all my classmate. Please apologize me because of my absence. I had to join a university program called student encounter partner kinDai Himeji-UKSW. Actually nice for joining it, but it's hard for me to leave some classes I have with you.

No longer words to say, I really don't wanna miss a thing from microteaching class yesterday. I believe the presenters were very good on their teaching.

I'm going to be grateful to you for your reflection on the blog. So, I can still learn things that you got on the last March 1st 2012 microteaching meeting.

Launching presentation in micro teaching lab ^^ (second turn of individual teaching)

Congratulations for Rumanti, Priska and Desya who have done their presentation. I was glad to know we had a chance on using micro teaching lab. What we need when use micro teaching lab is how to manage the classroom. Hopefully, it helps us to make a real environment like in an elementary school classroom.

The three presenters have tried to teach as well as they can. Everything is Okay. Preparation, teaching aid, lesson plan and the dress. I just want them to maximize those thing. I also think we should plan a creative and innovative  teaching and learning. So, the students will enjoy what we are  provided. One more thing to be mastered is the language used in teaching. All of the presenter used English. I suggest you and I can apply our language correctly on pronunciation.

Making a correction for other people is easier than looking at our own faults. My expectation is I can teach as well as my friends did or even better.

Don't ever give up!!!

Individual Teaching Practice

What are things I get from friends’ presentation?

First of all, congratulations for my friends who have done a great job. You are good on last teaching practice. 

After you are presenting the teaching presentation, I conclude that :

1.     Preparation before teaching must be maximized

2.    Teaching aid or teaching media should be appropriate with the student’s background

3.    Paying more attention to the student is needed rather than only focusing on the material which will be given

4.    Involving students to solve problems and conclude the activity is important too

5.     We have to speak clearly, loudly and lively

Sometimes I think it’s hard for me to direct myself into the best way of teaching and learning as you all have presented. Thanks for giving me many lessons.

Small group teaching reflection ^^

What is your feeling after doing the small group teaching?

What are things that you want to improve for the next week?

What do you get from the friend's presentation?

Don't you know teaching is a very exciting activity? It also happened to me when I do teaching. No nervous for along my performance. Why? Because it's only few students whom I taught. They were very cooperative students (who actually my friends).

 Although I wasn’t nervous, I still need some suggestions to improve what have been good and correct the mistake. Overall, I got the feeling glad but not satisfied yet. I have to prepare everything well. 

I want to prepare teaching media to support my teaching presentation. The other thing I wanna prepare is mastering the materials.

There're only three questions above , but who really knows how much lessons I can get after doing the small group teaching. From my own presentation I believe my friends will get some lesson and its opposite. 

They taught clearly and exciting enough. One of  my friend has brought teaching media, some haven’t yet. Teacher who brought media was more interesting than who didn’t. From that case, we can improve our teaching and learning by using supported media. Beside that, they have different character on interacting the students. So, I want to make variations on my next teaching presentation after watching them. I also saw good strategy used during friend’s teaching presentation. For instance, the teacher used native language to explain difficult term on the material, reward was given to stimuli students do the task and repeating the important concept.

Microteaching -1st assignment

"What are the expectations, suggestions or ideas for the microteaching subject in RBI '09 class?"

Knowing definition of such terms could give an understanding about what  we will learn. Microteaching has many definitions based on scientists. Based on Passi (1976) microteaching is “A training technique which requires student teachers to teach a single concept using specified teaching skill to a small number of pupils in a short duration time. The most important point in microteaching is that teachingis practiced in terms of definable, observable, measurable and controllable teaching skills”. (http://indianfusion.aglasem.com/?p=13323)

I believe we still have weakness on applying theories about teaching and learning. Personally, I expect the microteaching class will give us corrections on  our teaching skill practice.

Also, we can get strategies how to solve problems faced in the class. 

Creating new learning models is possible too. By following microteaching class, I hope the new models of teaching and learning can be developed. 

The suggestions for microteaching class :

1. use microteaching lab,

2. both peer and lecture/instructor corections for every student,   

3. polite clothe's enough, no dresscode

4. full-english class

Supporting each other to create a comfortable and enjoyable class is needed. I do hope the microteaching class gives big impact for my teaching skill development.
